Claire House Children's Hospice, Wirral chosen as the team's charity for the event.

We are pleased to announce that Claire House have accepted our offer of making them our chosen charity for the 24 hour event.

Claire House cares for children 0 - 18 years with life threatening or life limiting conditions and their families from Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

Children's hospices are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, providing specialist respite, palliative, terminal and bereavement care.

A visit to Claire House this week was thought provoking, humbling and yet inspiring. It was a privilege to be given a guided tour and meet "the team" and one of the children they care for.

Janet Croker Head of Appeals at Claire House said, “It means a huge amount to us at Claire House to have the support of the DK Challenge 24 team. We rely 100% on donations to provide our vital services for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and events such as this are a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and play their part. Not only will very welcome funds be achieved but also the publicity that is generated will help to keep the work of Claire House in the public eye. Good luck to the team from all the children and families at Claire House.”
