May 2006: Team Challenge 24 formed with a view to competing in the Benone 24 hour Challenge in 2007

  Prokites Ltd confirmed as a sponsor

June 2006: Testing of kites commenced having selected U-turn as our kite manufacturer of choice

July 2006: Discussions commenced with buggy designers on the platform to be used.

  Initial sponsors approached to assist the team

August 2006: Dufton Kellner Chartered Accountants confirmed as sponsor

September 2006: Team decides to test additional buggies as kite changes were taking place too often in the test buggy leaving the pilot either grossly under or over powered

  Lumicycle joins as sponsors to the team by providing specialist personal lighting

October 2006: After considerable testing the U-turn Nitro is the favoured kite with the Butane being kept in reserve

  Testing of additional buggies commences

  Announcement from WSYC that a 24 hour Challenge may be held at Hoylake in June 2006

November 2006: WSYC announce 24hr Challenge will take place 23/24 June 2007 team registered as DK Challenge 24

  "Ex-Dave Scott" Barracuda race buggy purchased to sit alongside the Prokites XXRacer and Typhoon

  U-turn Nitros ordered

  Charity shortlist drawn up

December 2006: After 5 weeks of bad weather the team start testing again

  The U-turn Nitros arrive - and they are all very orange!
